Tilted White Wine Decanter

$64.00

Very distinctive recycled tilted white wine decanter with ice pocket.  Remember to decant your wine.  There are two main reasons for decanting wine. The first is physical—to separate clarified wine from solids that have formed during aging. The second is the effect of oxygen, which releases certain compounds bound within the bottle. Both have an effect on our perception of flavor, texture and aroma.

Just outside the crowded city of Bogota, Colombia, there are still patches of the old city. There, in a small family owned glass factory, a group of talented glass blowers create each handmade tilted white wine decanter. These are free form pieces, not made from molds, but wonderful organic shapes that are thick and hefty. Best of all, the glass is recycled from old windows, automobile glass, and all sorts of bottles. Each design has its own unique variations.

Size: 7″ x 9½” x 10″t
